Marlo Mittler, MS RD is a Registered Dietitian, Nutrition Consultant, journalist and public speaker specializing in nutrition, wellness and healthy lifestyles. Marlo has been in practice for over 15 years, specializing in Pediatrics, Adolescents and Family Nutrition. Outside of private clients, Marlo has worked with schools, corporation, non-profits and camps, on a multitude of nutrition endeavors.

Marlo has worked nationally as a Nutrition Expert on television, the web, magazines, newspapers and radio. Her expert advice covers topics that include weight management, dieting, nutrition labels, eating disorders, restaurant menus, superfoods, organics, fitness training, female nutrition, gestational diabetes, Celiac and much more. Marlo has appeared nationally, and has been on FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS within the past few months alone. Baltimore, D.C., Connecticut, Philadelphia, New York, Detroit, Edison, and Long Island are also some of the cities where she has appeared on affiliate network channels, along with Channel 12 New Long Island. Marlo has a strong commitment to national health and wellness programs. In fact this led her to be the featured nutrition expert on a television program that focused on First Lady Michelle Obama’s Obesity Initiative and additionally she was the only nutritionist quoted along with former President Bill Clinton regarding the ban on soda in public schools.

Among her other projects Marlo has created a company committed to revising, evaluating and creating healthy menus for camps and schools all over the country. Her company has been a featured speaker at the American Camping Association s National meetings for several years in a row. Through her efforts to help revise camp menus to keep them kid friendly, camper approved and healthier, she has reached thousands of kids across the country. Marlo also served as the Dietitian for several weight management camps for a few years prior to working with mainstream camps to further her efforts for healthy food at all camps. She has demonstrated her success in also reaching out to companies to work with camps for healthy food items for campers with allergies, such as Celiac Disease. Her commitment to her clients has made her a forerunner in the camp industry.

Marlo has a Masters of Science form C.W. Post/Long Island University, her bachelors form SUNY Binghamton, and a Lactation Consultant certificate from G.W University, Marlo is currently an Adolescent Medicine Dietitian at North Shore- Long Island Jewish Health System Cohen Children’s Medical Center, as well as the Head Dietitian at the Outpatient Day Program for Adolescents with Eating Disorders.
